Leibnizo mąstymo instrumento samprata: characteristica universalis ir pažinimo transformacija
Daugelį metų Leibnizo characteristica universalis projektas buvo interpretuojamas per XX a. mąstymo prizmę. Toks požiūris apribojo šio sumanymo reikšmę iki loginio instrumento, veikiančio kaip išorinė mąstymo reprezentacija. Dėl to buvo nepakankamai įvertinti projekto epistemologiniai ir semiotiniai aspektai bei ryšys su mentaliniais gebėjimais. Visapusiškesnis požiūris leidžia matyti characteristica universalis ne tik kaip pažinimo priemonę, bet kaip aktyvų paties mąstymo komponentą. Įtraukdama mąstymą per kompleksinį intelekto, vaizduotės ir atminties veikimą, characteristica universalis perkonfigūruoja samprotavimo operacijas ir prisideda prie žmogiškojo pažinimo supratimo.
