Abstract

The course work analyses, by criminal law, whether mass bullying of a person or their family members should be considered a criminal offense and give rise to criminal liability. By the current criminal code, the concept of mass bullying is not explicitly defined, and criminal liability for such conduct only arises in cases where there are consequences like a person’s suicide. That is why there is a need to analyse the harm caused by mass bullying and to prevent such conduct.
The course work presents the concept of mass bullying based by various sources, discussing norms that have lost their validity in the criminal code, and comparing the regulation of mass bullying with other branches of law and other countries. Also, the course work discusses mass bullying that is directed at vulnerable social groups.
Based on what was analysed in the course work, it can be said that the current criminal law regulation is insufficient, as in the modern world the problem of mass bullying has increased and there are no adequate measures to prevent such actions. For this reason, the authors of this course work propose a legal norm that would address the existing problem in accordance with the principle of ultima ratio.
