On March 4, 2026, Alexander Dmitrievich Dulichenko, a professor at the University of Tartu known for his work on Slavic literary micro-languages, passed away. The bibliography of his scholarly works includes over 500 publications in more than 20 languages. Alexander Dulichenko visited Lithuania on numerous occasions to attend academic conferences in Vilnius and Šiauliai. In December 2003, he participated as a representative of the International Committee of Slavists in an important event — the founding meeting of the Association of Slavists of Lithuania at the Department of Slavic Philology at Vilnius University. For many years, Professor A.D. Dulichenko served on the editorial board of the journal Slavistica Vilnensis, supporting and developing the Vilnius University journal in this capacity.
