From August 25 to 30, 2025, the main forum of world Slavic studies, the 17th International Congress of Slavists, was held at Sorbonne University (Paris, France). It was organized by the International Committee of Slavists (ICS), consisting of representatives of national committees of Slavists (including Lithuania). Lithuanian Slavic studies delegated scholars working in various Lithuanian scientific institutions to the congress: the Faculty of Philology of Vilnius University, the Faculty of History of Vilnius University, the Institute of the Lithuanian Language, the Department of Ancient Literature of the Institute of Lithuanian Literature and Folklore, and the Wroblewski Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences.
